Fascia is the connective tissue that wraps around every muscle, joint, and nerve — transferring force, supporting movement, and shaping how you feel in your own body. When it becomes stiff or restricted, everything works harder: your training, your posture, your sleep, even your breath. Fascial Stretch Therapy works through your joints and fascial lines with assisted stretching and gentle joint traction — each stretch begins by creating space in the joint itself, allowing a deeper, more effective release than any solo stretching can reach.

Good to Know

Before your first session.

Is FST like massage?

No — and that's the point. Massage presses into muscle tissue; FST moves you through assisted stretches with gentle joint traction, working the fascia and joint capsule that pressure alone can't reach. You stay in comfortable athletic wear and participate simply by breathing with the movement.

Does it hurt?

No. FST is designed to be pain-free — it works with your nervous system rather than against it. Some stretches may feel intense in your tightest areas, but every session is tailored to your comfort level. Most clients describe it as the most relaxing bodywork they've experienced.

Is it safe? Who is it suited for?

FST is gentle and appropriate for most adults — athletes, active professionals, and anyone cleared by their physician for stretching and active movement. Your health history is reviewed before your first session, and everything is adjusted to your body on the table.

What happens at the intro session?

Three parts: a movement and posture assessment so I understand how your body is actually organized; a full assisted-stretch session; and 1–2 personalized mobility practices to keep your results moving between visits. You'll feel the difference standing up from the table.

What should I wear? How do I prepare?

Comfortable, stretchy athletic clothing. Hydrate well before and after your session — fascia responds best in a well-hydrated body. That's it; I bring the professional table and everything else to you.

Where do sessions take place?

In your home, anywhere in the Ottawa area — all you need is about a 2m × 3m clear space. Outside Ottawa, travel bookings are available on request — business trips, competition weeks, and multi-session arrangements across North America and Asia; travel is quoted separately.

How often should I book?

You'll feel looser after one session, but tissue changes with rhythm, not one-off visits. Most clients begin with the 6-session series to build momentum, then maintain with the monthly membership. For athletes, frequency is planned around your training and competition calendar.

I have chronic pain — can FST fix it?

FST is not a medical treatment, and I'll never promise what a stretch can't deliver. It's designed to improve mobility, ease stiffness, and support how you move and feel — and many clients seek it out for exactly those reasons. If I believe your situation needs a different kind of care, I'll tell you honestly and point you in the right direction.
